There were six Ward households in Mobberley in 1911. All of them descended from Ann (born around 1815) and her son Thomas (1832) both born in Lancashire but in 1851 living at Kell House. Thomas married Letitia Garner and in 1861 was living in Broad Oak Lane where they stayed for the rest of their lives.

Their son Thomas born in 1860 married Mary Ann Hodgkinson from Acton in 1890 and they settled in Town Lane.

Alfred, born in 1863
married Annie Clarke from Chorlton  in 1884 and they lived in Spring Bank and then Smith Lane. One of their sons, Willam Edward, born in 1888 married Mary Ellen Fletcher in 1906 and they moved in to Booth's Lodge on the Knutsford boundary.

William was born in 1865 and at the 1881 census was recorded at the railway signal box although his wife Mary from Rostherne, who he married in 1891 was living with their three children in Town Lane

Henry, born in 1867 married Elizabeth from Middlewich. They set up in Broad Oak Lane but after 1901 moved to Hale.

The final Ward household was also in Town Lane where John , born in Manchester in 1879 and his wife and son moved to before 1906.
