In 1911 there were several Simcock households in Mobberley. They broadly descend from three households in 1841 although they may be related further back

The First:

Joseph (born 1814, son of Enoch and Hannah nee Wright) and Elizabeth (nee Burgess, born 1818) who married in 1838 were at Heald Mill in 1841.

Their son Joseph, a corn miller, married Mary from Tabley in 1860 and they lived in New Mills, Joseph dying in 1912.

Their son Joseph born in 1864 married Sarah Nelson in 1886 and they lived at Wood Lane until Joseph died after which Sarah moved to Tolland Road in Hale. Joseph and Sarah's son Herbert died in the Great War.

Another son of Joseph and Mary, Thomas, born in 1867 married Mary from Knutsford and they too lived in New Mills. Thomas and Mary had a son Thomas Baden Simcock who fought inthe Great War, survived and married Charlotte Elizabeth Bailey in 1923 at St Wilfrid's.

A third son, Enoch, born in 1872 married Sarah Ann Bailey and lived on Pepper Street.

The Second

Enoch and Hannah lived at Rodgers House (Baguley Green) in 1841. Hannah died and Enoch (re)married Mary Hewitt, who had also been widowed (see Hewitts). When Enoch died in 1871, Mary moved in with Percival relatives in Railway View, still possibly Baguley Green.
One of Enoch and Hannah's daughters Martha had at least two illegitimate children, Ann born in 1845 and Joseph in 1848 before she married James Bailey at St Wilfrid's in 1855. Joseph married Eliza Ravenscroft from Northenden in 1870 and they lived on Town Lane. Joseph married Phebe Ford in 1899 after Eliza died. Joseph and Eliza's son, also Joseph, born in 1871 married Mary Jane from Ashley and they lived at Brown Edge Cottages. Their son Ernest served in the Great War. At the time he was one of eight children.
Another of Enoch and Hannah's daughters, Mary, also had two illegitimate children. Harriet born in 1840 and Enoch (son of John Wright) born in 1847.

The Third

Caleb and Ann (Nield) were at Dam Head in 1841, then Davenports, then Grimsditch Farm, then Antrobus Hall Lane (Faulkners Lane) and finally Oak Cottage on Newton Hall Lane. Their son Caleb born in 1843 married Alice from Ashley and took over Grimsditch Farm after 1861 but then moved to Town Lane Hall Farm where they still were in 1911.
