Marriage Index. This is an Excel file of all marriages at St Wilfrid's from  1736 to 1990 and the Methodist Church from 1936. They can therefore be searched by date or name and the references post 1836 allow you to find the partners' names. There appears to be a gap between 1754 and 1813 with the on line availability of records. Before 1847 many marriages took place at Manchester Cathedral - they can be searched on line by name but not easily by 'Mobberley' as the address of the couple concerned.
